Congratulations to the Recipients
of the Marcia Cammett Scholarship
We would like to congratulate Kayla Mullins, Hailee Gibadlo and Hannah Breidenbach who received the Marcia J. Cammett Memorial Scholarship this year! We wish them the best of luck in their studies as they begin their college careers! This scholarship is funded in part through the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Ladies Golf Tournament, which Marcia won in 2012. Criteria for the scholarship required that students planned to pursue further education in nursing/medicine or civil engineering/environmental sciences, and preference was to be given to those demonstrating an excellent academic record, financial need and community involvement.
6th Annual Ladies Golf Tournament
The 6th Annual Ladies Golf Tournament was a success! Thank you to the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce for hosting the event. Cammett Engineering is always proud to sponsor such a wonderful and fun-filled event! A portion of the proceeds assisted in funding a scholarship in memory of Marcia Cammett which assists many students within our community to purse their college careers. Also, a big congratulations to the Align Credit Union ladies team who took home first place being -4 under par!

summer off in the survey crew was the perfect introduction into the realm of civil engineering. Here, I was able to grasp the importance of taking precise measurements to accurately portray any given site for our engineers. Gaining this experience was invaluable and proved useful later on as I transitioned to working within the engineering department.
The second part of my summer consisted working closely with the Director of

Engineering, Robert Blanchette. As a registered professional engineer with immense experience as a civil engineer, he had me quickly immersed within a variety of ongoing projects here at Cammett. While working on these projects, I gained confidence using computer aided drafting software, AutoCAD Civil 3D and gained experience with HydroCAD for Stormwater modeling. I have also gained exposure to federal and state legislation, and local bylaws which is relevant in nearly all aspects of any given project. The intricacy of this process was fascinating and helped me understand how projects are taken from concept to completion.
Finally, I want to thank Woody Cammett and all of the staff at Cammett Engineering for welcoming me this summer and showing me the commitment and passion you all share."
showroom. Being out in the field and working in the office has taught me so much. When I finished my second semester at school, I barely understood how to turn on a total station. After a few months at Cammett, I can pick up a total station and survey and entire lot of land with ease. Working in the office, I have learned several different things about AutoCAD that I know will only benefit me in the future. Working with professional surveyors and engineers has given a perfect perspective of the type of work I can expect to be doing in my upcoming career. Cammett Engineering has been one of the best places I have ever had the opportunity to work for and I only look forward to working for them in the future."
summer at Cammett Engineering has been unlike any other summer I’ve ever had. Working as a field surveyor for Cammett has been a great experience. I’ve been through forests, worked on crazy busy roads and even along rivers. Getting to work in my own community and those that surround Amesbury has shown me so many different parts of each town I work in. Working at construction sites has shown me how a site develops. It is amazing watching a piece of land transform from a section of woods or a field, into a home, road or even a
